Life at the Larson household

Life has been crazy the last few months with baseball season, the girls dance and family camping trips, the summer has not even started yet, we still have two big trips planned one to Bear lake in July, and Lake Powell in August, we have already been to the Sand Dunes twice Flaming Gorge over Memorial weekend, ans we just got back from a family reunion up in Midway.

Hunter baseball went fairly well it was his first year in kid pitch and he got to pitch a couple innings this year so that was fun to watch, the girls just finished up dance for the summer, Makena dance group took second at the competion they went to we were so proud of her.

I will post some picutres of what we have been up to latley, and Hunters baseball, I do not have any of the girls dance because the battery died in my camera during their recital

Twilight Madness

Last night I braved the crowds at the Walmart in Riverton, me and Makena got there at 7pm the party was not starting until 10pm anyway we were like the 70th people in line it was awsome and worth the four hour wait, we won t-shirts and other great stuff for awnsering questions about the books, we got our stuff signed by Rachelle Lefevre( victoria) she was awsome, the thing that made me mad is that people kept butting in line and we had to get mad at them, it was fun, we got home around 12:30 it is a night I wont forget, just wish that Rob could have been there but it was still great to see a cast member and get their autograph she sighned my twilight book so cool, I will have to take some pics of me and makena in our t-shirts

Grocery shopping

I have decided to try out grocery shopping in a new way through a program called grocery smarts it is free all you have to do is clip coupons, this is what I bought this week

8 boxes of cereal

2 boxes of saltines crackers

2 pkgs. of Nestles cookie dough

3 pkgs of instant potoatoes

2 dozen eggs

2 gallons of milk

4 pkgs. of shredded cheese

12 cans of chicken noodle soup

1 sour cream

1 jar of salsa

3 cans of Hawaii's own frozen juice

5lbs of boneless chicken breasts

2 pkgs of ronzoni bistro meals

a poster board

and two cards

I spent $49.72 and saved $84.00

A Funeral
Well today was a sad day in our house, Ashlee went to get our hamster out of his cage and what do you know he was stiff as a board and not moving, so I held a funeral in the front yard for him and buried him by a rock in our flower bed, I was surprised that they did not cry, they said they are sad, and they asked can we get a new one,my awnser was no because then I would end up feeding it and cleaning it;s cage, their awnser was no we will do it, yeah I've heard that one before, maybe sometime down the road we will get another one but for now my awnser is no!!!!

Hunter's Jr Jazz Game

Life since Christmas

Life at our home has been hectic with the kids off track, and one in Junior High, I did not take any pictures on Christmas I know bad, but my camera died and Makena's battery was dead on hers, so we just bought a new camera and now I download pictures again. Hunter started Jr Jazz and that has been fun watching him play we decided to play him up a year this time so Brett could coach with his brother Clint, so Hunter is playing with the second graders and of course he is the smallest out there, I will post some pictures at the end, Now the kids are all back in school and maybe I can keep the house clean while they are at school, the kids have been enjoying the DDR and outdoor challenge we got for christmas for the wii, I even tried it its great excersise. I have stayed busy with my church callings we are in the middle of basketball season, it has been fun watching Makena play this year since she is in Young Womens, I need to take some pictures of her this week playing, I've also been trying to get stuff ready for Girls camp even though we are not going till July, we have a kick off coming up in Feb so I have to get their folders ready for them, so I am busy with that. Brett has been working hard at work and he plays in a basketball leauge on Monday Nights, and he also plays on the ward team on thursday night's, He just found out he drew out for turkey's again this year so come April he will be gone Turkey Hunting, that has been our life since Christmas

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRETT

10 years ago today

What was I doing, well giving birth two my second daughter, Happy Birthday Ashlee, you have brought so much joy in our home, Mom and Dad love you so much and cant beileve that you are 10 years old, how the time flies, hope you have such a great birthday even though it is right after christmas. Happy happy birthday Ashlee dear happy days will come to you all year if I had one wish that it would be a HAPPY Happy Birthday to you from me.

A trust fund
We have a trust fund set up for my adopted nephew that got taken away by the indian tribe that his birth mom belongs to it is a Well fargo bank and you can go to any of them in the country and Donate to his cause to bring him back, it is in the name of for the benefit of Talon Larson. or you can also mail a check with for the benfit of talon larson to Well fargo 7869 south Redwood road west jordan utah 84088, we are heart broken and Sunday wasd the hardest day we have ever had to go through if you have not seen this story you can do so on any of the news cahnnels websites, it was even on Good Morning America and you can view it on their webite also thank you for all your love and support we appreciate it very much, we just hope and pray that we can bring him back home to him mom and dad

SADNESS
Today is a sad day in our home, we just found out last night that our nephew whom Brett's brother and wife were trying to adopt, and has been in their home for the last 6 months since birth, will be taken away on Sunday by the Indian tribe, and a very evil drug addicted birth mom, who will not be getting the baby, but someone else on the reservation, if you want to follow his story you can link to it by clicking on Clint and Heather in my friends and family list on the right. My children are very sad as so are we, I cant believe that they could do this to people and get away with it, we will really miss him he is so cute and sweet. Please pray for them in this difficult time they have tried for so long to have a baby without any luck and now to have something you have wanted for five years just ripped out of your arms, the need some prayers right now.

Twilight
well all I can say is that I was not dissapointed I trully liked the movie, even though there were diffrences between the movie and book I thought it was done really well, and can I just say that Edward is a hottie, he played the part really well, we had so much fun last night and are even planning on going to a matinee next week sometime when the kids are all at school, I hope if you haven't seen the movie , this dosen't spoil it for you. I have to tell you a funny story that happened last night, we ate dinner at the Training table and when we were walking out some lady's around my age were walking out at the same time, they all had on twilight t-shirts that said team Edward, except one that had on a team Jacob shirt on anyway we asked them if the had seen the movie yet and they said that they were going to the same one we were, well we had time in between dinner and the movie so we thought that we would go to Target,we were at the Districtanyway we saw them there again and said hello, well sure enough they sat right next to us in the movie, we all had a good laugh and thought what were the odds come to find out they had purchased there tickets the very same day we did, anyway part of the story was that my older sister had said kinda loudly as we walked out of trainig table , look she has a team jacob shirt on, and they heard her and they said we know we were thinking the same thing, but I know there are a lot of people out there that just love Jacob, even though I am a huge Edward fan, I wish we had a camera , we all forgot but I will remember that night for a long time

Twilight
Tonight is the night that I have been waiting for for months, Twilight, our movie is the 10:40 movie tonight and I cant wait, I will post tomorrow about the movie , I just hope I am not dissapointed

LIFE AT THE LARSON HOUSE
O.K. its been a while since I posted, I have halloween pictures but they are on my daughters camera since mine is a pice of hud and wont take pictures anyway we cant seem to find her cord for the computer, and I have yet to go to the store to put them on a disk anyway when that happens I will post them, not much has been going on ,we finished A'S room in the Basement now we are on to H'S room then all of the kids will be downstairs yeah. We hope to have H's room done by the end of november it will be a slow process to get the rest of the basement done even though it is all sheetrocked, I'm so glad that I have a husband who know's how to do this kinda work, saves a ton of money.that has been what we have been up to lately, flag football is over, now we wait until Jr Jazz basketball starts, Brett and his bro Clint are going to coach the boys team this year

TWILIGHT

O.K. I know some of you are going to think that I am obsessed, yes I am I know but have you seen the new trailer, if you haven't I have now posted it at the top of my blog. I am looking forward to the movie due out November 21st, My Mom and sisters an I have our whole night planned out, and are planning to celebrate all of their birthdays that night, since my oldest sister's is November 30Th , my mom's is December 8Th, and my little sister's is December 1st, I am going into the movie with not high expectations just so I am not disappointed if it is not the same, I really want to see the movie, and watch the trailer everyday so I thought Iwould post it on my blog Let me know if any of you are as obsessed with this series as I am

FAMILY PICTURES

ST. GEORGE TRIP

Well I am back we had a blast,when we got there we were going to go and get a pedicure but they were to full and asked if we could come back on Friday, so we decided to do that and headed on down to Mesquite, we were a little early for the next session of bingo, so me and my sister Kim went to see if the craps table was full, and there were some people already playing so we decided to sit at the quarter wheel of fortune slots, so we both stuck in a twenty dollar bill, and started playing, well Kim hit the wheel and she got to spin so I watched as she spun and she only got 25 credits , well I spun one more time and hit time five, times five, and a seven and won something like 3666 credits it equalled out to be $760, I was in shocked never in all the years going to Vegas with Brett, have I ever won that much, well I cashed out and Kim cashed out and decided to put her card in my machine, well she spun and hit $120, luck was with us so we went in to play bingo and we didn't win anything that session, so we went out and my mom and my sister Keri played the penny slots, and lost ten dollars, so we figured our luck was running out, well on the next session of bingo, my sister Kim won $150, so our luck was back, we left there and ate at Katherine's its a very nice steak house in mesquite $27 filet's anyway it was delicious, we headed back to my mom's in ST. George, with grins on our faces from the money won and the great food.

Shopping was terrific let's just say you could not see out the back of my sisters Honda pilot on the way home, that's how much fun we had shopping, I wish that I had pictures my camera is on the brink and the LCD screen will not work so the picture just ends up black, so just picture a Honda pilot and you cant see out the back.

Pedicures were fun and relaxing, I want one of those massage chairs they have. My Mom and Kari have never had one so that was their first experience with pedicures, my mom also said she has never painted her toenails before and quite likes them painted,

We watched three great movies in the luxury of my mom's house with no screaming children to interrupt us, we watched Baby Momma, What happens in Vegas and Maid of Honor, they were all funny, and cute. so if you haven't seen them I would recommend you rent them and watch them.
That was my trip it was a lot of fun I had a blast, and can't wait till next year to do it all over again, I don't think my husband is ready for another year, but he will get over it. I will post some pictures of Hunters football game today, I don't have any of St. George,cause of my stupid camera

Saturday Football

Hunter had his first flag football game on Saturday and even thought they don't keep score they won, he palyed really well, he pullled two flags and he got to run the ball one time, it was really fun watching these first and second graders playing football, I cant wait until he can play tackle, that wont be until he is eight, I forgot the camera of course, but will try and remember to bring it on Wednesday night for his game. Brett also started rec football, so our lives will be spent between two football fields and running the girls to dance.

Well I leave for Saint George on Thursday and I am counting down the days, I can't wait for pedicures, shopping, eating out, late night movies, good laughs and just hanging out with my Mom and sisters, My sisters and I have decided that we need to do this twice a year instead of just once, but that will take convincing our husband that we need to do this, we will have to see if they go for it, I will post some pictures of the trip when I get back home since my Mom has yet to purchase a computer.
